Student Exchange with South Korea
The Culver City Sister City Committee (CCSCC) is looking for six students who are currently in 8th, 9th and 10th grade and are interested in participating in a student exchange program with our Sister City in Iksan City, South Korea.
The program is a homestay experience which consists of visiting high school students from Iksan City in Summer 2025. The Culver City High School students then travel to Iksan City in Summer 2026 for a homestay experience. While in Culver City the students will visit Sony Studios, the Wende Museum and other local attractions. The homestay in Korea will include activities and sightseeing, with great exposure to the Korean foods and culture.
Our program fosters international and intercultural understanding through exchange of high school students with the goal of educating our youth about different people and cultures. This opportunity is open to students who attend Culver City schools, live in Culver City or whose parents work in Culver City.
There will be an in-person meeting for interested students on Monday, December 16, 2024 at Culver City High School from 1:00 - 1:30 p.m. Those wishing to attend should contact Ms. Madrid to sign up. There will also be a Zoom session for the general public (students and parents) on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 from 7:00 – 7:30 p.m. To receive a Zoom link, RSVP to iksancity@culvercitysistercity.org. .
