Council Oks Kiosks on City Property

Monday night October 28 the Culver City Council voted 3-to approve Advertising kiosks on city rights-of-way. Vice Mayor Dan O'Brien, Councilmen Albert Vera, Göran Eriksson on voted in favor of the plan. Councilman Freddy Puza vote against the proposal while Mayor Yasmine Imani McMorrin abstained.

IKE Smart City proposes to deliver an IKE kiosk network in Culver City on the following terms: No Cost to the City: IKE Smart City will bear all costs associated with the program implementation and management. initial deployment will consist of 15 units. Secondary deployment, at the City's and IKE Smart City's mutual discretion, of 15 units Signing Bonus: $1 million paid in two installments (Phase 1 & Phase 2) ⊲Revenue Share: Revenue share of 50% of net advertising revenues with a minimum annual guarantee equal to $50,000 per kiosk ($750,000 annually for each phase and $1,500,000 annually at full deployment).

One of every 8 panels will be dedicated to City-directed content at no charge. In addition to 1/8 city panels, all "unsold inventory" will be offered to the City at no charge -- with a guaranteed minimum of 25% annual programming time for the City ⊲ Local Business Allocation: $500,000 will be allocated each year to free promotion of small businesses IKE Smart City's experience in California, including our work in West Hollywood, Berkeley, Oakland and San Diego, ensures we will deliver a superior kiosk program to the City. As demonstrated by the support letters on the following pages, our ongoing success and commitment to providing public benefit through the IKE platform has been recognized by non-profit, business, and community partners in Culver City, and we are grateful for their support. We look forward to future discussions about delivering a community-oriented interactive digital kiosk program to Culver City.

Location of the kiosks has yet to be determined.
