9/11 Remembrance Ceremony

On the 23rd anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, the Culver City Police and Fire Departments will host a remembrance ceremony at Culver City Fire Station 1 located at 9600 Culver Blvd. in Culver City to honor the men, women, children, and first responders who lost their lives. Please join us as we remember them on Wednesday, September 11.

The terrorist attacks at the World Trade Center in New York, the Pentagon in Arlington Virginia, and in Shanksville Pennsylvania, resulted in the deaths of 2,977 people. Those killed include 343 FDNY Firefighters, 60 Police Officers, and eight private EMT/Paramedics totaling 411 emergency personnel.

We welcome the community to join us as we honor the people who lost their lives 23 years ago.

Ceremony Schedule:

6:55 AM - Crews assemble in front of flag

6:59 AM - Time of the South Tower collapse

7:00 AM - One minute of complete silence

7:01 AM - Flag lowered to half-staff – Bugle plays (Fire Station #1 only)

7:03 AM - Ceremony concluded
