Attempted Armed Robbery in Fox Hills

ATMs Becoming Particularly Vulnerable

Culver City Police are seeking a woman who was attempting an armed robbery at a bank ATM in Fox Hills. Culver City Police responded to the report of an attempted armed robbery at the 5800 block of Green Valley Circle at 12:28 pm on Saturday, August 31. When officers arrived on the scene, they were notified that the crime had occurred at approximately 11:18 am.

Preliminary investigation indicates that the victim was approached at an ATM by the suspect, who told her, "Put all the money inside the bag or I'll shoot." When the victim turned, she saw the suspect directing a firearm at her. In fear for her life, the victim ran inside the bank location. The suspect followed the victim into the bank and then left the area. The suspect is described as a female Black adult approximately sixty years old with a medium build, reddish-orange curly hair, wearing a light blue tank top, shorts, sunglasses, carrying a purse or bag and armed with a black firearm.

The attempted robbery comes just over two months after another armed robbery on June 20 at a bank on the Sepulveda Boulevard.

The suspect is escribed as an unknown, Black female, approximately 60 years old, medium build, red/orange curly light blue tank top, shorts, sunglasses, carrying bag/purse.

The weapon was described as a black firearm.
