In 2004, local leaders in Palms organized to certify a new neighborhood council recognized by the City of Los Angeles. John's plumbing business resides in the City of LA technically, and he was elected to serve on the inaugural Palms Neighborhood Council. His selfless and generous contribution to the Palms community, and acknowledgement of his passing, will be in the In Memoriam portion of the City of Los Angeles' Congress of Neighborhoods. John will be dearly missed.
