Don Ericsson was born on March 31, 1940 in Texas and passed peacefully on June 13, in Culver City.
He is survived by his devoted partner, Darlene Larsen, son Dean and daughters in law Patti Ericsson (wife of Dean) and Shannon Burton Ericsson (widow of Daniel), brother Eric and sister Alesta. He is preceded in death by loving wife Carolyn Sue Ericsson and son, Daniel.
At a young age Don journeyed with his mother and two siblings from Texas to California where he established his roots and embraced the community he lived in and served in Culver City.
Don's journey in service began with his education a Culver high school followed by his honorable service in the United States Army and later his tenure at the Culver City Police Department from 1962 to 1991. While serving as a police officer, Don attended and graduated with a Master’s Degree from USC.
Don rose to the rank of Captain before retiring. During that career, his dedication to service led him to prestigious FBI Academy where he graduated in 1981.
Don was also an active member of his local Jay Cee's club in Culver City. During his free time, he could be found on the golf course where he often left the greens the winner.
Don leaves behind a legacy of service, love and commitment. That will continue to continue to inspire and guide us all as he will be dearly missed and forever remembered
