Culver City Chamber of Commerce Names Ed Wolkowitz as Board Chair and Interim CEO

The Culver City Chamber of Commerce has announced that its board has unanimously appointed former Culver City Mayor as board member Ed Wolkowitz as the 2024 Chair of the Board.

Wolkowitz will also serve as the Chamber's Interim CEO while the organization conducts an extensive

search for candidates to fill the permanent role after the departure of former President and CEO Jesse Nuñez, who left the post to pursue other endeavors.

Wolkowitz has been a bankruptcy attorney, trustee and receiver for more than 40 years and has repeatedly been included on the "Super Lawyer" list in region-wide peer surveys, an honor bestowed on only 5% of California lawyers.

"As we celebrate our 100th anniversary, we reflect on a century of dedication to our business community and residents," said Wolkowitz, adding that he has been impressed with the board members who have stepped up during this period of transition to provide him with additional support. "Our mission remains

steadfast: to be a catalyst for business growth and expansion, a connector of people, resources, and ideas,

and a champion for a strong community. These core values have guided us through the decades and will

continue to inspire our efforts moving forward."

During this transition period, as the Chamber seeks its new President and CEO, members and the public can still expect unwavering business support and leadership from the organization, Wolkowitz said.

"Our Board, composed of committed business owners and community leaders, is fully engaged in upholding these principles," he added. "They are dedicated to ensuring that the Chamber remains a steadfast advocate for the success of its members and the entire business community."

To that end, the Chamber invites members and non-members to a variety of upcoming events, including its Women in Business Connection at 5 p.m. on July 25 at Culver One and it successful annual Women in Business Awards Luncheon later this year. The Chamber will also host a number of other events and mixers, like this week's Coffee and Donuts that can be found on its website at http://www.culvercitychamber.com

"We are confident that the strength and vision of our Board will continue to foster growth and connectivity

within our community," Wolkowitz told members. "Your engagement with the Chamber is crucial, and

together, we will navigate this period of change with resilience and optimism."
