The Los Angeles Rams have signed Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, the team has announced.
Garoppolo has appeared in 81 career regular season games (63 starts) and completed 1,277-of-1,895 passes (67.4%) for 15,494 yards and 94 touchdowns with a 97.6 passer rating. He also has recorded 185 rushes for 264 yards and seven touchdowns. Garoppolo has seen action in seven postseason contests (six starts), including Super Bowl LIV and two NFC Championships, and completed 80-of-132 passing attempts (60.6%) for 962 yards and four touchdowns.
During his 10-year NFL career, Garoppolo has spent time with the New England Patriots (2014-16), the San Francisco 49ers (2017-22), and the Las Vegas Raiders (2023). He was drafted by the Patriots in the second round (62 overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft.
Garoppolo played collegiately at Eastern Illinois (2010-13), where he completed 1,047-of-1,668 passes for 13,156 yards and 117 touchdowns. He was a consensus First-Team All-American and the recipient of the Walter Payton Award, the FCS ADA National Offensive Player of the Year Award, and the FCS ADA National Quarterback of the Year Award in 2013. That season, he became one of two players in FCS history to eclipse 5,000 passing yards in a season.
