The Los Angeles Rams have signed Offensive Lineman KEVIN DOTSON and Defensive Back DARIOUS WILLIAMS, the team announced today.
Dotson has appeared in 53 regular season games (44 starts) and played 2,822 offensive snaps in his NFL career. He also has appeared in two postseason contests (one start) and played 55 snaps for the Rams in the Wild Card Round during the 2023 season. Dotson started all 14 regular season games that he appeared in with the Rams in 2023 and logged 839 offensive snaps at right guard.
He joined the Rams in August of 2023 following a trade with the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he appeared in 39 games (30 starts) in three seasons (2020-22). He was drafted by the Steelers in the fourth round (135 overall) of the 2020 NFL Draft after playing collegiately at Louisiana-Lafayette, where he was an AP First-Team All-America selection (2018) and First-Team All-Sun Belt Conference honoree (2018, 2019).
Williams has appeared in 80 career regular season games (55 starts) and recorded 233 tackles (187 solo), 10 interceptions, 93 interception return yards, 62 passes defended, 51 pass breakups, 10 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery. He also has seen action in eight postseason contests (six starts) and registered 37 tackles (21 solo), one interception, 42 interception return yards, six passes defended, four pass breakups, and one tackle for loss.
This will mark Williams' second stint with the Rams, where he spent the first four years of his career (2018-21) and became a Super Bowl champion when the Rams defeated the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl LVI at SoFi Stadium. The six-year NFL veteran spent the past two seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars (2022-23). During the 2023 season, Williams started all 17 games and notched career-highs in interceptions (four), interception return yards (72), passes defended (19), pass breakups (16), forced fumbles (two), and tied a career-best with three tackles for loss to go along with 53 tackles (44 solo).
Williams originally signed with the Rams as an undrafted free agent in 2018 after playing collegiately at the University of Alabama-Birmingham, where he was a First-Team All-Conference USA selection as a senior in 2017.
