LOS ANGELES RAMS ANNOUNCE TWO ADDITIONS TO 2024 COACHING STAFF

The Los Angeles Rams announced today two additions to the coaching staff for the 2024 season.

SEAN DESAI will enter his first season with the Rams as a senior assistant after spending the 2023 season with the Philadelphia Eagles as their defensive coordinator. He also served as the associate head coach for the Seattle Seahawks in 2022 after a nine-year stint with the Chicago Bears (2013-21) serving in various roles. Desai spent the 2021 season as the Bears defensive coordinator after coaching safeties for two seasons (2019-20). He began his NFL coaching career with the Bears in 2013 as their defensive quality control coach and served in that capacity until 2018. Desai also spent time coaching at the collegiate level, serving as special teams coordinator and the running backs coach at Boston College in 2012 and as the assistant director of football operations at Miami (FL) during the 2011 season. Prior to his time at Miami, he coached outside linebackers and was the special teams coordinator at Temple in 2010. Desai also worked as a graduate assistant with Temple's defense and special teams unit for four seasons (2006-09).

Senior Assistant JERRY SCHUPLINSKI joined the team after spending the previous two seasons with the Las Vegas Raiders, serving as their tight ends coach in 2023 and as a senior offensive assistant in 2022. Prior to joining the Raiders, he spent two seasons with the New York Giants as their quarterbacks coach (2020-21) and one season with the Miami Dolphins as their assistant quarterbacks coach in 2019. Schuplinski also had a six-year coaching stint with the New England Patriots (2013-18), where he became a three-time Super Bowl Champion. He held two roles with the Patriots including assistant quarterbacks coach for three seasons (2016-18) and offensive assistant for three seasons (2013-15). Before joining the NFL coaching ranks, he spent time at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio where he coached linebackers and served as the special teams coordinator for six seasons (2007-12). Schuplinski also was the head coach at Trinity high school in Ohio for five seasons (2002-06) and was a graduate assistant at John Carroll for two seasons (2000-01).

The Rams have welcomed nine new coaches to their staff heading into the 2024 season.
