Dodgers take another hit after Urias arrest

If there is any organization in Major League Baseball that can recover from an off the field incident it’s the Los Angeles Dodgers. Last year it was pitcher Trevor Bauer and now it’s pitcher Julio Urias. Urias was arrested on September 3, outside the BMO Stadium after a Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) game against Miami. Since then, the Dodgers have indicated that he is no longer a member of the team.

Even after the Bauer incident last year and now Urias, the Dodgers have continued to stay in first place in the National League West Division. The main reason the Dodgers have been able to have the third best record in the Majors is because of their Farm system. The Dodgers have always had a good Farm system and this year is another indication they continue to produce young talent.

Another reason is their versatility. Several of their players can play multiple positions. Mooke Betts can play shortstop, second base and the outfield. Max Muncy can play multiple infield positions, Chris Taylor can play infield and outfield and Kike Hernandez can also play the infield and outfield.

The Dodgers open a seven-game home stand starting Monday with a three-game series (9/18,19,20) against the Detroit Tigers and a four game series against the San Francisco Giants on September 21, 22, 23 and 24.
