Unibomber Found Dead in his Cell

lTed Kaczynski, the convicted terrorist known as the Unabomber, was found dead in his prison cell Saturday morning, according to a Federal Bureau of Prisons spokesperson. He was 81.

Kaczynski eluded the law for nearly 20 years until his arrest in 1996.

Kaczynski was serving a life sentence in a maximum security facility in Colorado but was transferred to a medical facility in North Carolina in December 2021 due to his declining health .

Based in the recommendation of U.S. Attorney General and the director the FBI the New York Times and Washington Post published the 35,000-word manifesto later that year.

Kaczynski who mailed or had his bombs delivered was considered America's most prolific bomber. He was 81.
