Suspect in Carjacking Arrested

On March 18th, at about 7:25pm, a 65-year old Culver City resident was the victim of a carjacking near Blanco Park. CCPD officers responded and were informed that the victim had been dragged alongside the vehicle as the suspects drove away. The victim described the suspects as two male Black subjects, about 20 years old, one of which was armed with an unknown handgun. An area check was conducted for the suspects and vehicle, but neither was located. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

CCPD Detectives tirelessly conducted their follow-up investigation and identified one of the two suspects involved. On March 21st, Detectives conducted surveillance in a nearby Los Angeles neighborhood and observed the identified juvenile suspect driving the victim’s stolen vehicle. The juvenile suspect was ultimately taken into custody and transported to Juvenile Hall. The investigation is still on-going.
