USC men's basketball hopes to move up in the Pac-12 standings

The USC men’s basketball team has five game remaining on their regular season schedule to try to improve their record in the Pac-12 and move closer to the top. At press time, (Wednesday) the 9-5 Trojans were in fourth place behind first place UCLA (11-2), second place Arizona (11-4) and third place Utah (10-5). They face Stanford on Saturday at 7 p.m. at home at the Galen Center.

The Trojans have relied on their senior duo of Boogie Ellis and Drew Peterson but if they want to move up in the Pac-12 standings and make the NCAA tournament they must get more consistent play from other key players on the team.

Reese Dixon-Waters, Vincent Iwuchukwu, Kobe Johnson and Tre White all need to play at a high level every game if USC expects to make a run in to the post season.

The next few weeks can make or break their season. After the Stanford game they travel to Colorado on February 23, on February 25 they stay on the road against Utah, on March 2, they return home to battle Arizona at 8 p.m. and Arizona State at 8 p.m. The Trojans are currently 17-8 overall.
