Monday, February 27 through Friday, March 10, the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges/Western Association of Schools and Colleges (ACCJC/WASC) will conduct focused sight visits of all nine colleges in the Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) as part of the standard process for reviewing and renewing college accreditation.
LACCD is dedicated to ongoing improvement to support student programs and curriculum. As part of the ACCJC/WASC, LACCD agrees to a comprehensive review to determine whether they meet the commission's standards. This seven-year accreditation ensures that districts and colleges are providing high-quality education and programming to the communities they serve.
A self-evaluation using ACCJC's standards began the process, followed by an Institutional Self-Evaluation Report (ISER), which was then submitted to ACCJC for peer review. The peer review teams conducted virtual visits and the next steps will be focused peer site visits to gather additional information. This will occur as follows:
LA Pierce - February 27
LA Valley - February 27-28
West LA - February 27 – March 1
LA City - March 1-2
LA Mission - March 2-3
LA Southwest - March 6
LA Trade-Tech - March 6-8
LA Harbor - March 7-8
East LA - March 8-10
ESC/District - March 10
