David Holley Named Principal of Culver City Middle School

The Culver City Unified School District,(CCUSD) announced the hiring of David Holley as the Principal of Culver City Middle School, effective immediately.

Holley has served as the Assistant Principal at Culver City Middle School since July, 2021, where he has overseen MTSS, Technology, Intervention, Physical Education, Science and Custodians. During his time at CCMS, he has led professional development on technology use, updated the school's safety plan goals, and managed technology, behavior and safety issues.

He has also served as the school's PBIS Coach, AVID Coordinator and as a representative on the CCMS School Site Council.

Holley began his career in education at Culver City Middle School in 2016, where he piloted and developed curriculum for the Social Emotional Wellness wheel elective for sixth-grade students. He later taught as both a physical education and AVID instructor.

"Mr. Holley has spent his entire career at Culver City Middle School, and he knows the students, the campus and the staff extremely well," said Superintendent Quoc Tran. "He has always been focused on helping students succeed; and I know he will do an outstanding job leading the Middle School."

Holley earned his bachelor's degree in Sociology from California State University, Long Beach, where he also earned two master's degrees – one in Kinesiology and one in Education Administration.
