Between the third and fourth quarters of today’s game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Portland Trail Blazers, Joshua Moore of Long Beach, Calif., hit a half-court shot and won the $25,000 MGM Rewards Big Shot Jackpot.
The 28-year-old becomes the 13th winner, aside from former Lakers player Vlade Divac, to win the MGM Rewards Big Shot Jackpot, a promotion which began during the 2006-07 season.
Moore is the second MGM Rewards Big Shot Jackpot winner of the season after Jamie Murry of Downey, Calif., won $75,000 on Nov. 28, 2022. Tonight’s shot marks the first time the half-court shots have been hit in back-to-back games since Feb. 27, 2019, and March 1, 2019.
