CC Motorcycle Officer Injured in Crash in Westchester

A Culver City motorcycle officer was injured in an on-duty crash in Westchester Wednesday night and was rushed to the hospital for treatment.

The crash was reported at around 6:45 p.m. near the intersection of Sepulveda Boulevard and Center Drive, according to Los Angeles Police Department, which is handling the investigation.

The male officer's condition wasn't immediately available, but his injures aren't believed to be life-threatening, a spokesman for the Culver City Police Department told local media.

Details surrounding the crash were not immediately released but LAPD confirmed the officer was injured. Local TV news showed footage of police officers working to clear the scene and the damaged motorcycle.

A few streets near Sepulveda Boulevard and Center Drive were closed to traffic "for a few hours," according to a tweet by LAPD Lt. Matthew Ensley.
