Four-Story Commercial Building Proposed for Downtown Culver City

The Culver City Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing next Wednesday, October 12, to consider plans for a proposed four-story office building in downtown area.

The project, proposed by LPC West, calls for the development of a 145,75- square-foot commercial building with three levels of subterranean parking at 3817-3855 Watseka Avenue. The project site is adjacent to Southern California Hospital at Culver City.

Gensler, the architect, is designing the proposed glass-clad building, which is depicted in a rendering with a roofline of sawtooth windows and multiple balconies and amenity decks for tenants, according to the developers.

The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in the Mike Balkman Council Chambers at City Hall.

The Commission is planning to review and receive public input on the proposed Site Plan Review and consider approval of the request. City officials said the project is considered exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act because as it is consistent with the General Plan policies and Zoning Code regulations.

The project staff report will be available for viewing at City Hall and online no later than Sunday night
