The performance, called "RENOVATION," will feature the Intrinsic Strings chamber string ensemble and contemporary movement artists The Friidom, featuring local film and media composers Emer Kinsella, Allyson Newman, Carla Patullo, Yuichiro Oku and Justin Bell.
The event is designed to promote unity and new structures in a post-pandemic world. Tickets are available now!
This performance is designed as an exploration of community reconnection in the wake of the pandemic. According to RENOVATION's creator Emersion Music, it will offer attendees "an opportunity to reflect on what is possible when we come together."
ABOUT RENOVATION: Created by artistic director Emer Kinsella, a composer and violinist based in Los Angeles in collaboration with choreographer Darryl Friidom Dunn and the Intrinsic Strings chamber string ensemble, RENOVATION is a site-specific live concert experience that champions unity and new structures within our communities using the architectural space of downtown Culver City as its stage backdrop. Coming together in response to global pandemics that have left us disconnected from each other on many levels , Renovation offers audiences an opportunity to reflect on what is possible when we come together and reflect on how we can reconstruct our lives and cities for a better future. With creative programming including new music by local film & media composers; Emer Kinsella, Allyson Newman, Carla Patullo, Yuichiro Oku and Justin Bell, written for strings & contemporary dance, Renovation promises an eclectic evening of live performance art not to be missed.
Funded in part by the City of Culver City and its Cultural Affairs Commission, with support from Sony Pictures Entertainment and the Culver City Arts Foundation, BMI, Spitfire Audio, The Alliance for Women Film Composers, Creative Visions and The Auld Fella.
