Culver City police are seeking the public's help in finding a suspect who robbed at gun point on Monday morning a man withdrawing money from a local ATM, the site of a similar crime last month.
The armed robbery occurred around 1:35 a.m. on August 8 at the Chase Bank, located at 5670 Sepulveda Blvd, according to Culver City Police Department.
The male victim has just withdrawn $400 from the Chase's ATM when he was approached by the suspect holding a black handgun and demanding his money, police said.
"After taking the money, the suspect ran towards Sprouts Market and out of view," CCPD said in a press release.
The suspect is described by police as male black, 20 years old, 6-fee-tall, thin build, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and a surgical mask.
The Chase ATM was the scene of a similar crime on July 23. The armed robber stole $1000 during the early morning hold up. Police have not said if the same suspect is responsible for both crimes.
Anyone with any information or questions regarding this incident is urged to contact Sergeant Edward Baskaron at 310-253-6316 or the Watch Commander at 310-253-6202.
