Development plans for a proposed 3-story office building at the corner of Washington Boulevard and West Adams will have to be tweaked in order for the project to move forward.
So said the Planning Commission at its last meeting.
The Commission asked the project applicant, Maxam Properties, a Culver City-based real estate firm, to modify plans to respect bike and pedestrian accessibility on Washington as well as reconsider the design of an exterior elevator tower.
As proposed, the project at 5861 Washington Blvd. calls for 16,900 square foot creative office building with 1 level of subterranean parking. The building would be covered in corrugated metal panels and screens, with white adobe-style exterior.
The project architect is Clive Wilkinson Architects.
The Planning Commission is expected to review the revamped plans on April 13.
