Culver City residents and neighbors are invited to gather in person to celebrate and honor the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. on Saturday, January 15 at 2:00 PM.
This year’s program theme is Erasing Racism.
The event will be held at the Culver City Senior Center on the outdoor patio, located at 4095 Overland Avenue, Culver City 90232. Plentiful free and accessible parking available on-site.
In order to protect public health and safety, proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required to enter City facilities. Public Health continues to require everyone to wear a well-fitting mask in City buildings, regardless of vaccination status.
The program will include:
Welcome from Culver City Mayor, Dr. Daniel Lee.
Invocation and guided meditation with Rev. Dr. Frances Wattman Rosenau of the Culver City Presbyterian Church.
Actor Gerald C. Rivers will perform a collection of speeches by Dr. King based on the theme of Erasing Racism.
Various musical performances will include traditional African American Spirituals.
Refreshments and the opportunity for participants to chat and mingle.
