CCPD Officers Use Naloxone to Revive Fentanyl Overdose Victim

Culver City police offers used Naloxone last week to revive an unconscious man "who overdosed on fentanyl" in a local motel, authorities reported.

The officers received a call around 2 a.m. on August 12 about an overdose victim inside a motel, located in the 3900 block of Sepulveda Blvd, Culver City Police Department said.

At the scene, the officers found "an unconscious male made adult" and they quickly administered Naloxone also known as "Narcan to the victim and revived him," CCPD said in a press release.

Culver City fire fighters arrived and transported the victim to a local hospital for further medical treatment, police said. "Due to the quick response of our officers and CCFD personnel, the subject is expected to make a full recovery."

According to police officials, that was the second time in two months that local officers used Naloxone to revive an overdose victim
