2020 NFL Power Rankings – Week 10

Rams Move Up, Charger Remain the Same

1.Pittsburgh Steelers (8-0): The Steelers escaped with a victory over hapless Dallas Cowboys, but as Mike Tomlin said after the game, "We can't keep having this conversation every week because one of these weeks we'll be doing it with an 'L." Next: -7.5 at Dallas Cowboys – Sun, Nov. 15 – O/U: 47.5 (ATS: 6-2 – O/U: 4-3-1)

2. Kansas City Chiefs (8-1): The Chiefs head into their bye week with a victory and a much-needed rest after a 33-31 victory over the Panthers. They will have an extra week to prepare for their Sunday night matchup in Las Vegas against the Raiders on November 22nd. Next: Bye – Following week: N/A at Las Vegas Raiders - Sun, Nov. 22 – O/U: N/A (ATS: 6-3 – O/U: 4-5)

3. Green Bay Packers (6-2): Wide receiver Davante Adams returned home to the Bay Area to catch 10 passes for 173 yards and one touchdown in an easy win on the road over the 49ers. Adams played his high school football at Palo Alto high school in Palo Alto, California. Next: -14 vs Jacksonville Jaguars – Sun, Nov. 15 – O/U: 52 (ATS: 6-2 – O/U: 5-3)

4. Tennessee Titans (6-2): In his first game as a Titan, former Charger Desmond King returned a fumble 63 yards for a touchdown in the Titan victory over the Bears. Dating back to his college years at the University of Iowa, the 2018 All-Pro now has scored either a defensive or special teams' touchdown in each of his last seven seasons. Yet the Chargers decided to let him go. Next: -2 vs Indianapolis Colts – Thu, Nov. 12 – O/U: 49 (ATS: 3-5 – O/U: 5-2-1)

5. Baltimore Ravens (6-2): Quarterback Lamar Jackson completed 19 of 23 passes for 170 yards and rushed for 58 yards and one touchdown in an important victory over the Colts. If the Ravens end up in a tie with the Colts at the end of the season, they own the tiebreaker with this win. Next: -7 at New England Patriots – Sun, Nov 15 – O/U: 43 (ATS: 4-4 – O/U: 3-5)

6. Buffalo Bills (7-2): The Bills offense came alive on Sunday against the defenseless Seahawks in a 44-34 victory. Josh Allen was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week after completing 31 of 38 passes for 415 yards and three touchdowns. Allen added a rushing touchdown to his day's work. Next: +1.5 at Arizona Cardinals - Sun, Nov. 15 – O/U: 56 (ATS: 4-5 – O/U: 6-2-1)

7. Las Vegas Raiders (5-3): Quarterback Derek Carr has become a different quarterback this season. Against the Chargers, Carr completed two deep passes in the third quarter, one for a 45-yard touchdown and the other a 53-yard completion leading to another touchdown. Carr had a 12-yard run for a first down, hurdling a tackler for the first down. Derek "Air" Carr is more than just a passer. Next: -5 vs Denver Broncos - Sun, Nov. 15 – O/U: 52 (ATS: 5-3 – O/U: 6-1-1)

8. Los Angeles Rams (5-3): The Rams look impressive on paper. The defense is ranked No. 2 in the NFL, allowing just 291.9 yards per game, and the offense is ranked No. 6 in the NFL, averaging 396.4 yards per game. The question is, when will they begin to play as well as they look on paper? Next: -1.5 vs Seattle Seahawks - Sun, Nov. 15 – O/U: 55.5 (ATS: 4-4 – O/U: 2-6)

9. New Orleans Saints (6-2): The Saints are not an easy team to figure out. Going into the game with the Bucs, the Saints had won four straight games but had to come from behind in all four games and two of the wins went into overtime. Then they come out and crush the Bucs in Tamps Bay, 38-3. Which Saints team will show up this week? Next: -9.5 vs San Francisco 49ers – Sun, Nov. 15 – O/U: 50 (ATS: 3-5 – O/U: 7-1)

10. Miami Dolphins (5-3): The Dolphins have won four straight games after they held on for a 34-31 victory over the Cardinals on the road. The Dolphins went 3-1 against the NFC West this season, with their lone loss to the Seahawks. Either the Dolphins are a very good football team or the NFC West is overrated. Next: -2.5 vs Los Angeles Chargers - Sun, Nov. 15 – O/U: 48 (ATS: 6-2 – O/U: 3-5)

11. Arizona Cardinals (5-3): The Cardinals take on the Buffalo Bills this Sunday in a game that will feature two of the best young quarterbacks in the NFL. Cardinal quarterback Kyler Murray vs Bills quarterback Josh Allen should be one of the best football games on TV this weekend. Next: -1.5 vs Miami Dophins - Sun, Nov. 15 – O/U: 56 (ATS: 5-3 – O/U: 2-6)

12. Seattle Seahawks (6-2): The Seahawks are the worst defensive team in the NFL, and it is not really close. They are allowing 455.8 yards per game, the worst in the NFL, and their pass defense is allowing 362.1 yards per game. Rams quarterback Jared Goff should have a good weekend. Next: +1.5 at Los Angeles Rams – Sun, Nov. 15 – O/U: 55.5 (ATS: 5-3 – O/U: 6-2)

13. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-3): The Buccaneers, at least according to New Orleans Saints fans, are overrated. After the Saints crushed the Bucs, 38-3, on the road, the Saints have the tiebreaker for the division title due to their sweep of the season series, meaning the Bucs need to end up with a better record than the Saints to win the NFC South division. That will not be easy. Next: -6 at Carolina Panthers - Sun, Nov. 15 – O/U: 50.5 (ATS: 4-5 – O/U: 5-4)

14. Cleveland Browns (5-3): Quarterback Baker Mayfield has a lot of fans, but one is not Terry Bradshaw. In a recent radio interview, Bradshaw said about Mayfield that, "I don't like Baker Mayfield and I never did ... His body language and the way he acts is a turnoff for me." Mayfield has not bothered to respond to Bradshaw and if he is smart, he will consider the source and ignore it. Next: -3 vs Houston Texans - Sun, Nov. 15 – O/U: 53.5 (ATS: 3-5 – O/U: 5-3)

15. Indianapolis Colts (5-3): The Colts held the Ravens to 266 yards in offense, but two turnovers led to two touchdowns for the Ravens and that was the margin of difference. The Colts play the Titans twice in the next three weeks. These two games will likely decide the NFC South title. Next: +2 at Tennessee Titans - Thu, Nov. 12 – O/U: 45 (ATS: 4-4 – O/U: 4-4)

16. Chicago Bears (5-4): In six games with Nick Foles as the starting quarterback, the Bears have rushed for 28, 35, 63, 49, 96 and 56 yards. The Bears are last in rushing yardage per game and without a running game, they will have a difficult time reaching the playoffs. Next: +2.5 vs Minnesota Vikings – Mon, Nov. 16 – O/U: 45 (ATS: 5-4 – O/U: 3-6)

17. Minnesota Vikings (3-5): After scoring four touchdowns last week, running back Dalvin Cook rushed for 206 yards and two touchdowns in the win over the Lions. Cook is quietly moving into the MVP discussion with his recent performances. Next: -2.5 at Chicago Bears – Mon, Nov. 16 – O/U: 53.5 (ATS: 5-3 – O/U: 6-2)

18. San Francisco 49ers (4-4): The 49ers, like many teams before them, have not been able to rebound from their Super Bowl loss and have had a run of bad luck with injuries. In the NFC West, their best hope is to get a top ten pick in the NFL draft and return next season a stronger and healthier team. Next: + 9.5 at New Orleans Saints – Sun, Nov 15 – O/U: 50 (ATS: 4-5 – O/U: 5-4)

19. Carolina Panthers (3-6): The Panthers lost their fourth straight game at Kansas City. Running back Christian McCaffrey returned to action and had 151 yards in total offense and two touchdowns, but also injured his shoulder and has been ruled out for this Sunday's game. Next: +6 vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Sun, Nov. 15 – O/U 50.5 (ATS: 4-5 – O/U: 4-5)

20. Detroit Lions (3-5): The Lions need to win now if they are going to have any hope of saving their season. They play three consecutive teams with losing records and if they do not win all three, they have no chance to make the playoffs. Next: -4 vs Washington Football Team – Sun, Nov. 15 – O/U: 45.5 (ATS: 3-5 – O/U: 5-3)

21. Philadelphia Eagles (3-4-1): At 3-4-1, the Eagles probably need four wins to nail down the NFC East title and receive a first-round playoff game at home. With three division games, they are in the best position to win the title. Washington is 2-6, Dallas and New York are both 2-7. Next: -3.5 at New York Giants – Sun, Nov. 15 – O/U: N/A (ATS: 3-5 – O/U: 4-4)

22. Denver Broncos (3-5): The Broncos again fell behind by 21 points in the third quarter, but this time their rally fell short as they lost to Falcons, 34-27. The Broncos might want to come prepared to play football in the first half and save all of the second half drama. Next: +5 at Las Vegas Raiders - Sun, Nov. 15 – O/U: 52 (ATS: 5-3 – O/U: 5-3)

23. Los Angeles Chargers (2-6): The Chargers are 7-17 over the past two seasons, with 15 of the 17 losses being by seven points or less. Expect changes at the end of the season in the coaching staff. Head Coach Anthony Lynn has one year left on his contract and he could be retained. The team is well-prepared for games and the offense has played well. If Lynn is retained, he needs to look at changes with the defense and special teams. Next: +2.5 at Miami Dolphins - Sun, Nov. 15 – O/U: 54.5 (ATS: 5-3 – O/U: 5-3)

24. New England Patriots (2-5): The Pats broke a four-game losing streak with the help of the Jets. Nick Folk kicked a game winning 51-yard field goal with no time left and Cam Newton rushed for two touchdowns in the victory. Newton has eight rushing touchdowns in seven starts. Next: +7 vs Baltimore Ravens – Sun, Nov. 15 – O/U: 42 (ATS: 3-5 – O/U: 4-4)

25. Washington Football Team (2-6): Washington quarterback Kyle Allen is expected to undergo surgery in the coming weeks on his dislocated/fractured ankle, which should give the starting job to Alex Smith, who threw for 325 yards against the Giants on Sunday. Next: +4 at Detroit Lions – Sun, Nov. 15 – O/U: 45.5 (ATS: 4-4 – O/U: 3-5)

26. Cincinnati Bengals (2-5-1): The goal for the Bengals in the second half of the season should be to get to five or six wins and be competitive in every game. With three games against the NFC East and a contest with the Texans, that should be a realistic goal. Next: Bye – Following week: +7.5 at Pittsburgh Steelers - Sun, Nov. 15 – O/U: 45.5 (ATS: 6-2 – O/U 5-3)

27. Atlanta Falcons (3-6): The Falcons have won three of their last four games since the switch to their interim head coach. On Sunday, they built a 21-point third quarter lead over the Broncos and managed to hold on the lead, winning 34-27, something the Chargers could not do the week before. Next: Bye – Following week: N/A at New Orleans Saints – Sun, Nov. 22 – O/U: N/A (ATS: 4-5 – O/U: 5-4)

28. Houston Texans (2-6): It seemed unbelievable that the Texans were taking offers on wide receiver Will Fuller before the trade deadline of November 3rd, 2020. They were but did not accept any of the offers, which pleased quarterback DeShaun Watson. It is bad enough to lose DeAndre Hopkins, but to lose Will Fuller, "it would have been hell if they would have done that," said Watson. Next: +3 at Cleveland Browns – Sun, Nov. 15 – O/U: 53.5 (ATS: 1-7 – O/U: 5-3)

29. Dallas Cowboys (2-7): The Cowboys looked like a competitive football team on Sunday, as their offense was able to score 19 points and their defense played well for three quarters. Unfortunately, the Cowboys defense could not hold onto a 19-10 fourth quarter lead and the Cowboys lost 24-19 at home to the Steelers. Next: Bye – Following week: N/A at Minnesota Vikings - Sun, Nov. 22 – O/U N/A (ATS: 1-8 – O/U 4-5)

30. Jacksonville Jaguars (1-7): Two Pac-12 rookie quarterbacks from the state of Oregon threw for over 300 yards on Sunday. As usual, one of them was Justin Herbert from Oregon. The other was Jake Luton, a rookie from Oregon State. Luton threw for 312 yards, connecting on a 73-yard touchdown pass in his first offensive series and running in from 13 yards in his last offensive series. The Jags lost 27-25. Next: +14 at Green Bay Packers - Sun, Nov. 15 – O/U: 52 (ATS: 3-5 – O/U: 5-3)

31. New York Giants (2-6): Giants kicker Graham Gano was named the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance against the Washington Football Team. Gano kicked three field goals of 38, 48, and 42 yards and sent three of his six kickoffs into the end zone for touchbacks in Sunday's 23-20 win. For the season, Gano is 17 of 18 on field goal attempts, with the lone miss a 57-yard attempt. Next: +3.5 vs Philadelphia Eagles - Sun, Nov. 15 – O/U: 44 (ATS: 6-3 – O/U: 3-6)

32. New York Jets (0-9): The Jets lost on Monday Night Football, 30-27, when former Jets kicker Nick Folk nailed a 51 yard field goal on the last play of the game to give the Patriots a 30-27 win over the Jets. Folk successfully converted three extra points and went 3-for-3 on field-goal attempts, earning Folk the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week honor. Next: Bye – Following week: N/A at Los Angeles Chargers - Sun, Nov. 22 – O/U: N/A (ATS: 2-7 – O/U: 4-5)
