Starbucks on Main Street Closes

It was opened sometime in the 1990's. But Starbucks on Main Street has closed permanently. Staff were offered transfers to one of Santa Monica's ten open locations.

"As part of Starbucks' standard course of business, we continually evaluate our business to ensure a healthy store portfolio," Allison Clark of Starbucks said in a statement. "After careful consideration, we determined it was best to close the store at 2671 Main Street in Santa Monica, CA. Our last day at this location was October 19, 2020."

It's no secret that retail stores are struggling with a combination of high Santa Monica rents and the coronavirus pandemic.
