On July 7pm, Culver City Police Officers were flagged down by multiple citizens regarding a stabbing that just occurred on Venice Blvd, just west of Sepulveda Blvd. Officers located the victim who had sustained multiple stab wounds to his back and had lost a significant amount of blood. Officers immediately rendered first aid efforts to the victim until paramedics arrived and transported him to a local hospital.
Culver City Detectives arrived on scene and began their investigation. It was determined that the incident stemmed from a road rage incident, which was captured on cell phone video by a witness. The two suspects involved in the brutal attack were quickly identified by detectives. Within four hours of the crime, detectives and CCPD patrol officers, were able to locate the two male adult suspects, along with the getaway vehicle in the 4000 block of Inglewood Blvd. Both suspects we taken into custody and booked for PC 664/187 (Attempted Murder).
In large part because of the lifesaving measures taken by CCPD officers who treated the victim at the scene, the victim is expected to survive.
