Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent Los Angeles County Public Health orders regarding large gatherings, the City of Culver City has determined it must cancel this year's Fiesta La Ballona. This event was scheduled to be held during the weekend of August 21-23, 2020 at Veterans Memorial Park, at 4117 Overland Avenue in Culver City.
"Although COVID-19 safety precautions will keep us from holding this year's traditional Fiesta La Ballona, a virtual experience is in the works to make sure everyone is still able to enjoy some of the fun and history of this community favorite!", said Culver City Mayor Göran Eriksson.
Historically, Fiesta La Ballona - Culver City's "Party in the Park"- is an annual community event, which regularly welcomes over 30,000 guests. This spectacular summer festival features live performances, carnival rides and games, a beer and wine garden, food trucks, a food court and a vendor village showcasing local organizations and artisan wares. Culver City hopes to bring back this event in the future.
