Flavored Tobacco Ban goes into effect on May 25

A ban which prohibits the sale of all flavored tobacco products, including menthol products goes into effect for all Tobacco Retailers on May 25. An exception is given until November 27 for Tobacco Stores, giving them time to sell off the products they already have on hand.

All other Tobacco Retailers in Culver City will be altogether prohibited from selling flavored tobacco products. Violation of the Ban could result in criminal and administrative penalties, including a possible revocation of a Tobacco Retailer’s license.

The Culver City City Council adopted the Ordinance, known as the “Flavor Ban,” on On October 28, 2019.
