The City of Culver City continues to cooperate with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to respond to the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Los Angeles County.

1. Residential Tenant Eviction Moratorium

On March 27, 2020, the City Manager issued a Public Order that expands the scope of the existing moratorium on residential tenant evictions (except those necessary for public health and safety) and extends such moratorium through May 31, 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This followed an extensive discussion and direction by the City Council at its meeting on March 26.

The City will issue additional clarifying rules and regulations related to the moratorium in the coming days. In the meantime, please email the Housing Division or call (310) 253-5790 if you have any questions.

2. "Senior Center at Home"

Parks, Recreation and Community Services has created a "Senior Center at Home," which will be mailed out next week to over 3,500 Seniors and is currently available on-line at The helpful resource guide includes creative writing projects, health & wellness tips, at-home exercises, coronavirus scam info, online exercise classes and more. 3. "Safer at Home" Public Order is Now in Effect

The "Safer at Home" emergency order means Culver City residents are required to stay inside their homes unless they are engaged in certain "essential activities." On those occasions when you are out of your home for necessary tasks, stay at least six feet away from others. • Go to a restaurant for take-out, delivery or drive-thru

• Care or support a friend or family member

• Take your pets to the veterinarian if necessary

• Help someone to get necessary supplies

You should not....

• Go to work unless you are providing essential services as defined by the Order

• Visit friends and family if there is no urgent need

• Maintain less than 6 feet of distance from others when you go out

• Visit loved ones in the hospital, nursing home, skilled nursing facility, or other residential care facility

If you or someone you know has a non-emergency, non-medical need related to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and you would like assistance from a volunteer, please email the City or call the City's coronavirus Hotline at (310) 253-6890 (7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.). If you email or leave a message at the Hotline after hours, please include your name, address, phone number, email address, and your need. In an emergency, please dial 9-1-1.

If you would like to volunteer to help the City assist those in need (including older adults), please email the City or call the City's coronavirus Hotline at (310) 253-6890 (7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.). If you email or leave a message at the Hotline after hours, please include your name, phone number, email address, and any special skills you may have (language, equipment, certifications, etc.) and preferred volunteer activity (deliver groceries to older adults, make phone calls, etc.) You can also find additional volunteer opportunities on the California Volunteers webpage.

If you are able to assist a neighbor who is 65 or older, or a neighbor who has an underlying medical condition, reach out via phone, text, or drop a note on their doorstep to ask if they need anything before you go to the grocery store or pharmacy. We are all in this together.
