Tito's Fiesta Mexicana – Woo Hoo, Round 2!

Tito's Fiesta Mexicana, which was such a huge hit when it was inaugurated last year on October 4 (National taco Day and National Vodka Day) is back. Olé!

The City of Culver City, Tito's Tacos (titostacos.com) and Tito's Handmade Vodka (titosvodka.com) are teaming up for a rousing repeat performance on Friday, October 4, 2 - 8 PM, at Tito's Tacos,11222 Washington Place in Culver City. Both brands have a strong philanthropic motivation, and all proceeds will go to support the Culver City Cultural Affairs Foundation. The goal is to surpass last year's donation of $10,000.

Admission will cost $25 per person, which includes three delicious Tito's Handmade Vodka specialty cocktails, plus award-winning food from Tito's Tacos and terrific entertainment. Non-alcohol admission cost will be $10 per person, which includes food and entertainment. Tickets can be purchased at the event's entrance via cash or credit card.

The use of rideshare options or public transportation such as the Culver City bus system is strongly encouraged. Tito's Fiesta Mexicana will offer a $5 admission discount for those with proof of arrival via public transportation. To learn more about that and parking options, go to titosfiestamexicana.com.

Lynne Davidson, President of Tito's Tacos and granddaughter of its founder "can't wait to see where Year Two will take us. We see our work and celebration with Tito's Handmade Vodka as one that collectively gives back to the Los Angelinos we've served for over 60 years,"

"We're incredibly grateful to once again work with Tito's Tacos to celebrate and connect with the LA community," said Brian Herlihy, Field Marketing Director at Tito's Handmade Vodka. "At Tito's Handmade Vodka our motto is to turn spirits into love and goodness. Everything we do is rooted in giving back to our fans, especially on National Vodka Day!"

LA born-and-raised comedian Eric Schwartz, who is known for his energetic blend of stand-up comedy, music and video, will act as master of ceremonies. An interesting side note is that his stepfather is a Mexican jazz musician. The entertainment is world class, with Trio Chapala, Mariachi Juvenil Herencia Michoacana, Mariachi Sol de Mexico, Folklorico Dancers, Mariachi Reyna de Los Angeles and the incomparable Eric Schwartz providing a memorable experience.

I had the great pleasure of writing about and attending this event last year. See https://www.culvercityobserver.com/story/2018/09/27/news/skip-the-siesta-come-to-titos-fiesta/7777.html for that article, as it will provide more background about the two terrific Tito organizations and their charitable activities.

There's a Mexican saying, "camarón que se duerme, se lo lleva la corriente." Translation: The current will take any shrimp that falls asleep. What it means is to not miss opportunities. And Tito's Fiesta Mexicana is an outstanding opportunity to enjoy oneself while supporting a good cause. Hope to see you there!
