Fiesta La Ballona is seeking volunteers for this year's Fiesta La Ballona, Culver City's annual "Party in the Park", which will be held August 23-25. A hundred volunteers are needed to make this year's annual spectacular end-of-summer festival a great success.
The Fiesta weekend will feature carnival rides and games, live performances, booths spotlighting local organizations as well as featuring artisan wares and other vendors, a beer and wine garden, food trucks and a food court, "dive in" movie at Plunge Into Fiesta and other special activities.
Many volunteer shifts are available for people from all walks of life, including the opportunities to work in the entertainment tent, and participate in the sustainability program. Volunteer groups from corporations, houses of faith, schools, clubs and neighborhoods are welcome. We also provide credit hours for students fulfilling service requirements for their schools.
Volunteers should go online and sign-up for a specific shift on the Fiesta webpage at fiestalaballona.org and click on the blue "Volunteer" tab
Fiesta volunteer training will be on Friday the 17th at 9:30 in the Garden Room of Veterans Memorial Building. All volunteers receive a free Fiesta volunteer t-shirt and students may receive community service credit for their donated time.
The Fiesta La Ballona will be held at Veterans Park located at 4117 Overland Avenue
