With the increasing loss of hundred of pets and the increased threat to small children the Culver City Police Department has scheduled a community meeting to discuss and plan a program to address the issue.
The meeting will be held on Wednesday March 13 at 7pm in the Kaizuka Room at the Veterans Memorial Building on the corner of Overland Avenue and Culver Boulevard.
With the extended drought and lack of available food the coyotes have increasingly encroached into local neighborhoods.
Staff from LMU/LA Center for Urban Resilience will be on hand to help answer question. The center has been hired by the city for approximately $211,000 to conduct the study and make recommendations.
The Coyote Study and Management Program is available on the city's website at http://www.culvercity.org.
CCPD urges all interested residents and business owners to attend. For those who are unable to attend you are asked to submit your comments to Lt. Leon Lopez at leon.lopez@culvercity.org before 4pm on March 13.
