15th Annual Culver City Car Show

Petersen Automotive Museum Rolls Out Classics

On May 12th, the annual Culver City car show hits the starting blocks for the 15th consecutive year. The 2018 show to be held at Culver City's Veteran's park with hundreds classic cars and hot rods from all over Southern California. This iconic local charity event also will feature a beer garden, a gourmet food truck court, car themed vendors, and non-stop live music from show stage throughout the day. The car show kicks off at 10:00 am. Admission is free to the public.

The 2018 car show organized by the Exchange Club of Culver City is co-sponsored by the City of Culver City, the Petersen Automotive Museum, and host of other local prominent sponsors. As it has every year, the Petersen Museum will roll out rare and prized cars from its vault. For 2018, the featured cars will include the famed 2001 Honda from the popular film "2 Fast 2 Furious" and a custom Cadillac coupe purchased by Clarke Gable for his wife Carole Lombard.

Culver City is the ideal location to hold this hugely popular event. Culver City is not just the "Heart of Screenland," but has a long history of auto racing and hot rodding. During the 1920's, Culver City was the site of two race tracks where thousands would gather on any given Sunday to see legendary daredevils like Barney Oldfield risk life and limb. In the 50's & 60's hot rodders would drag race down Culver and Washington Boulevards for pink slips.

Funds raised by this charity event go to support youth organizations such as the Child Abuse Prevent Center, the Culver Youth Health Center, the Culver-Palms YMCA and Upward Bound (supportive housing for homeless families with children). Proceeds also go towards college scholarships for deserving local students. This year, the Exchange Club will issue 25 scholarships to deserving local students.

Culver City Veteran's park is located at the corner of Culver Boulevard and Overland Avenue. Ample parking will be provided courtesy of Sony Studios. The Sony parking entrance is located on Overland between Culver and Washington Boulevards – follow the signs. A handicapped accessible shuttle will be provided from Sony to Vets Park. Additional parking will be available adjacent to the park. Avoid parking in the adjacent neighborhoods. The venue is easily accessible by public transit (Culver Bus).
