Sydney Kamlager To Be Sworn in State Assembly

Assemblywoman-elect Sydney Kamlager will formally take her Oath of Office Monday, April 16 at 3 p.m. in the State Capitol Building.

Ms. Kamlager will immediately begin to serve the unexpired term of former Assemblyman Sebastian Ridley-Thomas following the swearing-in ceremony. As incumbent officeholder, she will stand for re-election in the upcoming Statewide Direct Primary Election to be held June 5.

Ms. Kamlager will officially resign her elected duties as president of the Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) Board of Trustees, as well as her state government position as district director to California State Senator Holly J. Mitchell, on April 16.

Assemblywoman-elect Kamlager received 70% of all votes cast in the April 3 Special Primary Election.

The 54th Assembly District represents residents in Culver City, South L.A., West L.A., and Southwest L.A.
