A lot of interesting basketball will be played in the NBA this season. We don’t know who the champion will be. If you like the sport you have months of entertainment coming up.
But another subject has become very important. With LeBron James breaking records a lot of attention has begun to go his way with fans wondering where he’s going to play next season.
You see, LeBron crushed some long-standing records last weekend and he’s reached that super duper place of all-time great.
Lebron belongs to the Cleveland Cavaliers but he left once to win championships, came back and has had some unhappy moments.
As you probably know he was unhappy this season before the Lakers seemed to rescue him by trading Jordan Clarkson and Larry Nance Jr. to the Cavaliers.
LeBron has been very happy with the play of the newcomers, but what if Cleveland doesn’t win this championship? The rumors of his departure have already started.
It made news last week that Philadelphia is getting a major amount of money ready to tempt him from leaving Cleveland next season.
And of course there’s the Lakers and the Clippers to consider. The Lakers would love to have Lebron join them and their new cast of talented players. But let’s not forget that Jerry West now works for the Clippers and owner Steve Ballmer pays him a lot to bring in superior players.
Last weekend was LeBron’s 30th birthday and here were some of his accomplishments --- He now does better in some categories than Wilt Chamberlain and Kareem Abdul Jabbar did and eventually there’ll be more. He’s the youngest to do this and that. And so forth.
He has 30,000 points, 8,000 rebounds and 8,000 assists.
Expect some meetings between LeBron and the Laker and Clipper people but don’t hold your breath.
