Scott J. Hart, 38 of Culver City, formerly of Montoursville, Pennsylvania died unexpectedly on July 5 in an automobile accident.
Born April 26, 1979, in Montoursville, he was the son of David C. and Sandra L. Hart (deceased).
Scott had a love of sports. He was an avid Cubs Fan. He enjoyed playing baseball from 1984 to 1991 starting with Mill Creek Little League. He also played basketball, as well as wrestled for McCall Middle School. Scott was involved in the Scout program as a Cub Scout with Pack No. 172 in Farragut as well.
Scott was a 1997 graduate of Montoursville high school. He went on from there and graduated from Dickinson College in 2002. Scott was working on a few movies and was even cast in the lead in one. Scott’s passion was writing and his aspiration was to be a screenwriter. Scott worked for Sony from 2001-2016. Then in 2017 he began working for Warner Brothers Entertainment.
Scott is survived by his wife, the former Erin Kandel. He is also survived by his son, Kelson Hart, the pride and joy of his life at home! He is survived by his father, David C. Hart (Tammy), of Williamsport, and sister April Hart (William), of Elmira, N.Y.
Scott was predeceased by his mother, Sandra L. Hart; his paternal grandparents; Ora and Valentine (Wally Hart); and his maternal grandparents, Walter and Esther Braunbeck.
A memorial and celebration of Scott’s life will take place at the New Covenant Church of Christ, 202 E. Third St., Williamsport, on Friday, July 14 with 6:30-7 p.m. visitation and 7-8 p.m. service. The Reverend Bradley Walmer will be officiating.
