Culver Man In Deadly Crash Identified

The Ventura County Medical Examiner's Office on Friday released the names of three people killed in a head-on collision last week on Pacific Coast Highway just south of Mugu Rock.

Scott Hart, 38, from Culver City was identified as the occupant of a Mercedes which was heading south. Hart's vehicle veered into the northbound lanes and collided head-on with a SUV driven by Autumn Cooper, 63, from Evergreen Colorado. Hart, Cooper and her husband Daniel Cooper, 81, died at the scene

Two of the Coopers' grandchildren, a 14-year-old girl and 11-year-old boy, were in the back seat of the SUV and were injured in the crash.

The girl was taken to Los Robles Hospital & Medical Center in Thousand Oaks with critical injuries, according to the Ventura County Fire Department. The boy was taken to Ventura County Medical Center in Ventura with non life-threatening injuries.

Hart was a manager at Sony Pictures Entertainment in Culver City for 15 years and recently began working for Warner Bros. Turn to page three for a full story on his life.

The accident occurred at approximately 8:20 pm last Wednesday. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the crash and has yet to determine if drugs or alcohol were involved.
