Dr. Kim Indelicato, principal at Linwood E. Howe Elementary School, withdrew her resignation shortly after resigning due to an undisclosed dispute with the school district. The undisclosed dispute produced a plethora of parents and teachers on Monday at the school and a packed house at the school board meeting held in the council chambers at city hall. According to reports the support received on Monday by parents and students made the principal reverse her decision to resign. While most parents were angry many were satisfied that Dr. Indelicato was remaining with the school and had high praise for her. Some parents commented positively on Superintendent Dr. Josh Arnold for listening to the parents for their concerns while others thought he was passing the buck by agreeing with everything they said. PTA President Kathy Johnson spoke and told the board, "We need to separate fact from rumors or gossip. I would like to focus my comments on our teachers and support staff. We do have a crisis at our school right now. Our teachers do not feel supported and do not feel they have a voice and that is just wrong."School Board members talked about greater transparency in school dealing but were unable to address the matter directly as it had not been agendized. The nature and substance of the dispute was not reveled. Indelicato had previously served as vice principal at Culver City High for six years.
