As Harry Culver once said, “All roads lead to Culver City”. No matter what road you’re traveling, we invite business owners, neighbors and Friends to join us as we kick off the centennial year, with the first of many exciting events to come.

Opening Ceremonies for the Culver City Centennial

Saturday, September 24, 2016

9:00 a.m. – Community Parade.

We want to showcase all the great organizations and businesses that make Culver City such a great place to live, work, learn and play.

We will gather at Veterans Park (behind Veterans Auditorium) and march to downtown Culver City at Culver Blvd. and LaSalle. (Two blocks from the Opening Ceremony location in front of the Harry Culver statue and the Culver Hotel at Culver and Main Streets.)

11:00a.m. – Noon Opening Ceremonies

We will have presentations by state and local dignitaries and long-time Culver City residents. In addition, we hope to be joined by the Mayors from our four Sister Cities – Kaizuka, Japan; Iksan City, South Korea; Uruapan, Mexico; and Lethbridge, Canada. Opening the time capsule from our 75th Anniversary in 1992 will take place.

Noon 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. – Community Block Party

Various food stations, info booths and merchandise vendors will be located in downtown Culver City. There will be live entertainment as well as fun for the kids It will be a most festive way to kick off our year-long celebration.
