The UCLA Bruins and the USC Trojans hope to get on the winning track when the Bruins face UNLV and the Trojans battle Utah State on Saturday.
Both teams will be looking for their first win of the 2016 season. The Bruins were beaten in overtime against Texas A&M 31-24 and the Trojans were whipped by Alabama 52-6.
Is Alabama that good, are the Trojans that bad? Time will tell but the Trojans are hoping the Crimson Tide is really that outstanding. If USC, which plays one of the toughest schedules in the nation can beat some of the other top teams on their schedule the loss to Alabama won’t cut so deep.
The Trojans will also face Stanford, Utah, Arizona State, Arizona, California, Oregon, Washington, UCLA and their last game of the regular season is against Notre Dame.
The Bruins have a more favorable schedule although in college football and sports in general there are no easy games. With the talent level improving all over the world winning games at any level is getting more difficult to predict.
The Trojan game will kick off at 11 a.m. at the Coliseum and the Bruins’ game will start at 5 p.m. at the Rose Bowl.
