Culver Family Escapes Death in France

Greg Krentzman, his wife, Sophie and their nine year old daughter Lola survived the terrorist attack in Nice, France as the terrorist drove a large refrigeration truck through a crowd celebrating Bastille Day, killing 84 and injuring more than 200. The family was on vacation.

Krentzman, 52, and his daughter were both injured. The truck clipped Krentzman’s right leg, fracturing it in three places and crushing his foot. Lola suffered a broken ankle during the attack,

He was taking pictures of the Bastille Day fireworks and never saw the truck coming. Fortunately his wife did and when she yelled “move” he jumped out of the way

A Good Samaritan helped Krentzman into his car and drove him to the hospital. Krentzman tried to find the man he described as an elderly Frenchman who helped him but to no avail.

Krentzman is still recovering in the hospital according to news reports and hopes to return home soon.

Krentzman is a community college administrator in Los Angeles.
