The Culver City Exchange Club has a long history of supporting youth in our community. The monies raised will help to combat child abuse and to support local youth programs including college scholarships for deserving students.
The club also supports the YMCA, the Culver Youth Health Center and "Backpacks for Kids," a program that provides supplemental weekend food and nutrition to children from needy families.
The Green Bus will not run a special shuttle. It will run the #3 Route on the Holiday Schedule. #4 Route will not be in service.
The Culver City Police Department would like to remind residents and visitors that the sale and possession of all fireworks is illegal in Culver City, that includes the so called "safe and sane" fireworks. All violators will be subject to fines and arrest if caught displaying or in possession of fireworks.
It is important that the public recognize the potential dangers in the use and handling of fireworks. The risk of injury, especially to children and young adults, is of great concern to us and we will be taking every violation seriously.
