Week long progressive volleyball camps for boys and girls, June 20, July 11 and July 18, will be conducted by the Culver Volleyball Club at the Culver City middle and high school gyms.
Former Culver City High volleyball head coach and athletic director Marty Siegal and his staff will offer more advanced levels of instruction each succeeding week of the camps.
“Last summer the improvement of our day campers was phenomenal. Participants went from no volleyball experience to making school teams and earning roster spots on high-level club teams,” Siegal said.
Boys and girls, grades 4-9, in session one, June 20-23, 4-7 p.m., will learn fundamentals of passing, serving, setting & hitting. The camp is intended for players without experience to those with light experience hoping to start club or competitive school teams, according to Siegal.
Fees are $175.
Youth in grades 5-9 with limited experience in school or beach volleyball to those with one or two years club experience, will cover more advanced transition skills in the second session, July 11-14, 4-7 pm. Fees are $175.
Designed to prepare players for their middle school or high school teams, the final session, July 18-21, 8:30 am-12:30 pm., will cover more advanced transition skills. Fees are $200.
Siegal suggests players wear proper volleyball clothing, and bring snacks and bottled water to each day of camp.

“Summer participation is an excellent path to improving your game, making new friends, and getting to know your coaches,” said Siegal.
