As a Culver City resident long active in the environmental, cultural and other arenas I enthusiastically endorse Thomas Aujero Small for City Council.
To focus on the environment, I am particularly impressed with his strong experience, skills, interests and endorsements.
Ironically Culver City's success in becoming an increasingly diverse, creative, and attractive community has brought with it many challenges in the areas of real estate, development, and environmental and community impact.
From what I personally have seen, Thomas is uniquely qualified to help bridge communication and opinion gaps and work with all parties toward positive change: eco-friendly projects that help rather than harm Culver City while providing positive environmental and community benefits.
Among other things, Thomas's platform also includes innovative transportation design, walkable and bike-friendly streets and trails, preserving and increasing green open space, and developing affordable housing that can also help reduce long trips to and from Culver City.
In addition, Thomas and his family literally walk and bike the talk as they live lightly on the land and help others at their local school and elsewhere do the same.
