Members of the Culver City Rotary Club, The Culver-Palms YMCA and Culver City Teen Center will be checking in race participants and hosting the 2nd Annual Culver City’s Healthy 5K and will be there to hand out T-Shirts, collect entry fees and more, at the Run/Walk starts on April 3 at 9 am at the West LA College Campus, 9000 Overland Avenue, Culver City.
The hilly nature of the campus makes the race challenging, seeing the buildings interesting. The Fun Walk and Kiddie Race are on the excellent track. Parking is free for the race.
Race fees include the 5K Run/Walk, are $35, 14 years+, or $20 for 13 years & under. Children under 5 are free.
The Fun Walk at 9:15 am is no cost, as well as the Kiddie Race at 10 am. People can register online at http://www.runculvercity.com. Go to Facebook for pictures from last year and comments, http://www.facebook.com/culvercityhealthy5K/.
The race provides the community of Culver City an event focusing on support for youth programs and physical fitness. Teams as well as individuals will be running or walking the race.
Teams can be business associates, friends or family. Ribbons will be given to all participants with metals going to the top winners in several categories. There will be a trophy for the team with the most members and the team that is the fastest.
