The Culver City High girls basketball team won its final two games last week to secure the league championship for the fifth straight season.
The Centaurs defeated Beverly Hills and Santa Monica to complete a 9-1 league record. The girls are 18-7 overall.
Culver City's first round Division AA playoff opponent was scheduled to be Arcadia High on Thursday night.
The result was not determined at press time but a detailed story is planned for next week's edition.
Seniors Kailey Tooke is a four-year squad member, Kate Suyetsugu and Alexis Arancibia are three-year members.
