People who have been considering starting or returning to college for a while often enroll during the Spring semester as part of their New Year's resolutions. University freshmen who left their campuses due to finances, academics, or other reasons also find enrolling at a community college can help them get back on track toward their goal. To make that transition easier, West Los Angeles College will hold an Open House Information Session on Tuesday, January 12 at 5 pm. West is an ACCJC Accredited California Community College where students can complete the first two years of a Bachelor's degree for less tuition than most universities or prepare for a satisfying career in Business, Health Care, Computer Science, Paralegal, Law Enforcement, Early Childhood Education, Film/TV Production Trades, Aviation Maintenance and more.
Because so many students who start in the Spring are busy working adults, the session will highlight our Accelerated College Transfer (ACT) program which allows you to be a full-time students by attending just one or two nights or Saturdays plus completing online work. Our fully online programs will also be discussed as well as the traditional in-classroom options, the enrollment process, financial aid, support services, university transfer, and academic programs. A walking tour of the campus will be available prior to the information session.
This event is free and open to all. More information is available at http://www.WLAC.edu. To receive a complimentary parking pass and additional information, RSVP to LongCofM@wlac.edu.
