Dodgers Announce Preliminary 2016 Schedule

Major League Baseball has announced a preliminary schedule for the 2016 regular season. The Dodgers will begin the season in San Diego (Monday, April 4). The Dodgers' home opener will take place on Tuesday, April 12 against the Arizona Diamondbacks. The three-game series against Arizona (April 12-14) will be followed by a three-game set against rival San Francisco Giants (April 15-17).

The Dodgers will close the regular season with a six-game homestand against San Francisco (Sept. 19-21) and Colorado (Sept. 22-25). American League teams who will visit Los Angeles during the 81-game home slate are the Angels (May 16-17), the Baltimore Orioles (July 4-6), the Tampa Bay Rays (July 26-27) and the Boston Red Sox (Aug. 5-7). The Dodgers take on the Cardinals in a weekend series (May 13-15) and the Cubs in a weekend series (Aug. 26-28).

Interleague road dates for the Dodgers in 2016 include travel to Tampa Bay (May 3-4), Toronto (May 6-8), Anaheim (May 18-19) and New York (Sept. 12-14). The holiday schedule for Dodger fans next season includes home games on Father's Day (Sunday, June 19 vs. MIL), July 4 (Monday, July 4 vs. BAL) and Labor Day (Monday, Sept. 5 vs. ARI). The Dodgers will join all Major League clubs in celebrating Jackie Robinson Day on Friday, April 15 and will play host to the Giants.
