On Monday, December, 14 the Culver City’s Woman’s Club will be holding its Annual Holiday Luncheon.
At this event the club will donate more than 40 hand-made stuffed bears to foster children in Los Angeles County. A representative of the Department of Children and Family Services will accept the bears that will be distributed to various offices. Sewing the bears is a year-long project of the club and one of the many contributions the club makes to local charitable organizations.
The club will also be supporting the “Spark of Love” toy drive by contributing unwrapped toys that will be delivered to the Culver City Fire Department for distribution to underprivileged children, including those in the Foster Care Program, and will be giving toys to the “Winter Wonderland” toy drive which will be delivered to the Pacific Division Police Department.
The featured performer at the Holiday Luncheon will be singer Diana Drake, who has performed in major locations in Las Vegas, Reno, Lake Tahoe, Atlantic City, Los Angeles, and the most memorable, at the Cabaret du Casino in Monte Carlo. She currently sings with the band “Heartless” and with the Angel City Chorale.
The Holiday Luncheon will be held at the Fellowship Hall of the Culver Palms United Methodist Church, 4464 Sepulveda Blvd., Culver City. Registration begins at 10:30 am.
